Tissamaharama Rajamaha Viharaya

The most worshiped and the largest is the Tissamaharama Stupa & according to ancient chronicles this stupa has been built by King Kavantissa who ruled Ruhuna in the 1st century BC.

Sithulpawwa Buddhist Monastery

Sithulpawwa is an ancient Buddhist monastery, believed to date back to 2nd century BC. The monastery straddles a collection of rocky outcrops and caves deep in the heart of Yala National Park.

Goyambokka beach

Goyambokka beach in the town of Tangalle in Sri Lanka which is 50 kilometers from Mirissa. Like the Mirissa beach, this beach is also calm, serene and tranquil.

Marakolliya beach

The beach is ideal for a stroll on the soft sand, and for spending time with oneself. At night, turtles enter the shore to lay eggs, which is a sight worth watching. Marakolliya offers limited options for food.

Rekawa Beach

Rekawa beach is located in Rakawa town, near Tangalle in Hambantota district, in Southern Province, Sri Lanka. The beach is an incredibly scenic one, with a vast expanse of white sand, merging with the serene turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean.

Hiriketiya Beach

A small beach with great surfing, lots of greenery and some fine establishments for eats and hangs. Hiriketiya is one of those sleepy Southern beaches that – after being ‘discovered’ by backpackers – is not so sleepy anymore.

Bundala National Park

Bundala National Park is located approximately 85 Kilometers from Tangalle, the nearest resort town. In 2005 the park was designated as a biosphere reserve by UNESCO, also designated a RAMSAR wetland its home to many migratory water birds in Sri Lanka.

Tangalle Beach

Tangalle is a town located in Hambantota district in Southern Province, Sri Lanka. The city is known for its vast stretches of beaches and has a typical tropical setting.

Turtle Beach

Turtle Beach in Hikkaduwa is a popular turtle-spotting attraction. Although the beach is famous for spending time with the turtles, Turtle Beach also boasts diving, snorkelling, and surfing activities.

Narigama Beach

Narigama Beach is a surfer’s paradise situated in Hikkaduwa. It is a beautiful beach in which the waves are ideal for surfing. It is a long and golden sandy beach great for walking while feeling the fine sands under the feet.
